FirstMed is dedicated to its clients as well as its staff. We have a very open policy when it comes to employee relationships with their animals. Here are some of our FirstMed Mascots:
I got George when he was 6 months old. He came from a very battered home and from birth he was abused daily. He knew the day we met things had changed and we fast became best friends. For six and a half years we played and had a great time with one another. On May 3rd, 2018 George was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and on the 6th he went to play in the never ending green fields over the Rainbow Bridge. George you will be forever missed by your home family and your work family at FirstMed. I love you with all my heart and will see you again someday, *RIP* A-
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine; and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….
Monster is a teacup chihuahua born on the 24th of April 2011. He got his name when he was only a few weeks old and a couple of inches long, accidentally stepping on a post-it note that stuck to his paw. Not knowing what it was he growled at it ferociously acting like a little monster(eventually mom had to remove the post-it). Monster grew up a very happy pup, he didn’t even bark until he was 10 months old and when it happened he scared himself so bad that he ran under the covers to hide. He loves to cuddle, sunbathe, and make little beds all over the house by pulling off the blankets on the couch and arranging them where ever we feels is the right spot for the day.
